Dappled Willow

The dappled willow (Salix integra ‘Hakuro Nishiki’) is a lovely shrub that can be trained to a tree shape.  It is also known as a variegated willow or tri-colored willow because of its unique foliage. The dappled provides a stunning color-changing show, shifting from pale pink to whitish-green leaves. Similar to the red twigged dogwood, their stems turn bright coral red in winter. Untrimmed they can reach eight to ten feet high and eight feet wide but can be pruned to a much smaller size. This is a fast-growing plant and can be used as a single point of interest in a garden or a fast-growing hedge providing privacy along a boundary.
